NayNay's CVS Story
Hi My name is Lyneya Davis You can call me Nay or NayNay.
I was born July 27,1981 First illness heart surgery before I was 18 months, My mother said I had colic when I was baby. As long as I can remember I have always been sick. When I was in elementary school I missed a lot of days so many days I failed the first grade. When I got to 10 or so I started becoming even more sick throwing up all time, in pain and I missed school a lot, My teachers and principal would bring my school work up to the hospital, I was always in the hospital and not gaining weight. I went through tons of tests it just didn't make any since. When I turned 12 the doctors diagnosed me Lactose intolerant. I followed the medical advice no dairy, no whey, but that didn't matter I was still sick no matter what, throwing up, migraines, stomach pain.
When I was 14 it just stopped. I gave birth to my twins at the young age of 16 but I remember the morning sickness through the whole pregnancy was the worse it sent me in early labor. After I had them I was fine. At age 19 I gave birth to my son the morning sickness with him was hell as well but after I was fine until I was 22-24 and it slowly can back. The vomiting, the stomach pain, the migraines and in that time I had my second son it didn't stop.
By the time was 26 I was fully blown sick all the time throwing up 10-30 times a day, in bed all day, the migraines, the stomach pain omg. I started the in and out the hospital thing, again they just ran more and more tests nothing, I knew this wasn't no lactose intolerance. The doc was bumped I was frustrated and me being a medical student I started doing my own research. Then I found Cyclic vomiting Syndrome online and I started looking more into it. Damn! didn't this sound like the nausea the vomiting the pain I was having. So I took this to my doc he did his own research and agreed with me. I diagnosed myself at around 29-30.. Now I have this diagnosis I must start on these meds, I'm up to 14 pills a day.
CVS has taken over my life I can't and don't go anywhere because I'm always sick, I had to quit school/college, I lost friends & family because don't they understand, I spend most of my days in a hot bath because that calms me a little with nice R&B music. I don't and can't eat much CVS comes in episodes one min u fine the next ur not. Because of all the vomiting I stay dehydrated which calls me to go the ER where the dum doctors don't believe you have CVS. I have an iron deficiency, low metabolism, no potassium, and more. My body is always weak and in pain, I get very depressed and lonely at times. My hubby tries his best and for that I'm thankful. I can't work due CVS and that sucks and trying to get disability for a illness so rare nobody knows about it is super hard. My daughters and Son are a big help always. I went from cleaning 3-4 times a day to cleaning once a week. I used to cook three time days I can't no more because of dizzy spells. I also get real bad motion sickness that triggers the CVS. The things that trigger my CVS are any kind of or to much emotion, Smells, Red meat, The heat, Getting to cold, The weather rainy days, Foods, spicy, chocolate, cheese, red meat and just waking up.
This is a ongoing battle I call this cancer without a cure
